Application process timeline - text in the body of the page

  1. Submit your application

    Deadline: 8 December 2026

    Apply through the University Application Portal and select up to two preferred projects from those advertised on the Programme website

  2. Department review

    First round interviews: December 2026 to mid-January 2027

    After the application deadline, applications will be allocated to the relevant Departments. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a first-round interview by the relevant Department(s).

  3. Department nominations

    Deadline: 27 January 2027

    Departments will nominate their strongest candidates for consideration by the DTP Research Committee.

  4. Research Committee review and second interviews

    Second interviews: 22 - 24 February 2027

    The DTP Research Committee will review nominations and invite shortlisted candidates to a second interview.

  5. Final selection

    Award meeting: 2 March 2027

    Following the second interviews, the DTP Research Committee will make the final funding decisions.

  6. Outcome notification

    Notifications will be sent our from 3 March 2027 onwards

    All applicants will be informed of the outcome by the DTP Office.
