Project Theme:

Inhibiting Oncogenic Myc through Cyclin T1

Project Summary:

I am utilising PROTAC technology to target Cyclin T1, the regulatory subunit of positive transcription factor b, which regulates both Myc transcription and activity. The purpose of this is twofold: to further understand Cyclin T1's biology and involvement with Myc and to assess Cyclin T1 as a therapeutic target for cancer treatment. This work combines expertise in functional cell line and mouse-model work from the Wilson lab with the drug-design and biophysical testing knowledge of the Itzhaki lab.
