Congratulations to Matt Harris for being awarded the prize for best poster in the Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology session of the British Pharmacology Society's (BPS) meeting in London this month. This is the BPS's flagship annual meeting and it attracts over 1,000 scientists each year from around the world. Matt won an award for his poster Characterising Glucose-dependent Insulinotropic Polypeptide Receptor Signalling.

Matt is a 2015 cohort PhD student in the BBSRC DTP Programme. He is currently researching the role of cellular chaperones in receptor-signalling bias in the glucagon receptor family in the lab of Dr Graham Ladds in the Department of Pharmacology at the University of Cambridge. As part of the BBSRC DTP Programme Matt completed rotation projects in Pharmacology and in the Department of Biochemistry with Dr Darerca Owen.
